Liv Ullmann: A Road Less Travelled

This three-part documentary-series depicts the life of a Norwegian icon, a world-renowned artist and a dedicated humanitarian: Liv Johanne Ullmann. It explores Liv’s multifaceted and multi-layered life as well as her national and international career spanning over 62 years in an effort to reveal the secrets behind her universal appeal and longevity and celebrate one of Norway’s biggest stars and a vital part of its cultural heritage. On this road less travelled, the series opens up different spectrums of a life well-lived and conveys what it means to unlock one’s potential, embrace possibilities and uncertainties, what it means to be a woman in a male-dominated world and how to find one’s voice without losing one’s integrity and humor. We meet some of Liv’s closest collaborators through 7 decades, including Sam Waterston, Cate Blanchett, John Lithgow, Jeremy Irons and Jessica Chastain.
