Ho Chun (Ron Ng), a young entrepreneur, is sent to jail. By implementing his philosophy in the business world that money can solve any problems, Ho Chun offers Big Roller (Patrick Tam), Kin Tin (Adam Pak), Scar (Justin Cheung) and Ho Ching (Louis Cheung) a considerable amount of money for assisting him to breakout from jail. However, Big Roller and his gang reject the offer since they believe serving their sentences is the only right thing to do. HBO is going back in time for an upcoming, currently untitled drama series following the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers, one of sports’ most revered and dominant dynasties. The series is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s. Adam McKay (Succession, Q: Into the Storm) is executive-producing, as well as directing the pilot episode. Adrien Brody (as Pat Riley), John C. Reilly (as Jerry Buss), Jason Segel (as Paul Westhead), Sally Field (as Jessie Buss), Jason Clarke (as Jerry West), Quincy Isaiah (as Magic Johnson), and Solomon Hughes (as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) are among the cast.
