Mortal Kombat is an ancient tournament which takes place on a distant island, in which the best warriors of the netherworld fight against the best warriors from Earth. If the netherworld wins the tournament ten times in a row, Earth is theirs for the taking. With the bad guys chalking up nine out of ten notches on their belts, the future of Earth certainly looks bleak. It's up to a trio of Earth's best to save the day, and the planet.
