In 2003, a father and his 10-yearold son disappear without trace in mysterious circumstances. The ensuing large-scale air and sea rescue operation quickly becomes a murder investigation. Claustrophobic and lawless, the region bears more similarities with the Wild West than the modern day. The characters encountered are products of their isolated environment – bound by the brutal nature of the world they inhabit. Their outlook on life is shaped by one simple fact about where they live: everything wants to kill you.
