Who can forget the '70s police action show with that unforgettable opening theme? The show makes the jump to the big screen 28 years later, featuring a top-notch cast and explosive special effects. The Los Angeles Police Department has brought back Lt. Hondo Harrelson (to form his own Special Weapons And Tactics Unit. He recruits ex-S.W.A.T. hothead officer, Jim Street; the street-smart Chris Sanchez; Deke Kay; the sharpshooter T.J. McCabe and Boxer. They soon land the task of escorting a high-profile, international drug lord and gun smuggler, Alex Montel. Montel smugly rebuffs the justice system by offering 100 million dollars to anyone who can spring him from jail. With that offer, all hell breaks loose as an assortment of Montel's cronies and random crackpots jump at the chance to set him free and win the money. The S.W.A.T. team soon realizes that it will take all of their firepower and wits to keep Montel's henchmen at bay.
