Through verité footage taken in New York City, this documentary takes a graphic and unvarnished look at the day-to-day activities of two young couples, severely addicted to drugs, who are inexorably bonded to each other despite recognising the dead-end futility of their lives. Seen through an unending cycle of fixes, withdrawals, brawls and hustles, the two couples (ages unknown) are: Matt and Tracy, and Sebastian and Michelle.
